About Us

The offences of bribery and corruption can have implications for many individuals, companies and agencies with international connections, from those engaged in trade promotion and financial transactions to those working in development aid.  Because of this, we have decided on a cross departmental, multi-agency approach to raising awareness and ensuring that the public is fully informed of how they should report any suspicion of corrupt practices.

The organisations involved in this collaborative effort are:

The Department of Justice and Equality

The Department of Foreign Affairs

The Department of Finance

The Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation

The Revenue Commissioners

The Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions

The Office of the Attorney General

The Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement

The Financial Regulator

Our objective is to raise the level of awareness in relation to bribery and corruption and to highlight the serious consequences it has for companies operating in an international business environment.  Ireland is very committed to ensuring that bribes to officials either at home or abroad are treated as criminal offences.
